Sisters Reunion

Family Gathering #1

Family Gathering Photo #2

I  want to write about our sisters reunion a few  weeks ago.  It started that Jacki was going to be in town because she had to be at her yearly convention planning meeting in San Diego.  So, she convinced Diane to come also (didn’t take much convincing-we haven’t been all together for at least 4 years).  Then Kelsea (Jacki’s daughter) and Alli (Paul’s daughter) both decided that they couldn’t miss all the fun, so they came too.  Of course Faye and her family, Paul, Mom and Ryan live in town. Somehow we were never able to get everyone together at the same time.  The boys are so busy now with all their activities and some people actually had to go to work! These 2 group pictures include everyone who was in town.

We had lunch one day with our cousin Louise which was great!   We didn’t do anything except hang out and visit.  It was really fun being  together again.

Our shirts say, "Stop, Tea Time"  We stop for tea at 4pm.  We are being very prim and proper English Dudettes
We sang around the piano and played games a lot.  These are all things we did a lot as children.  So, we were finding the inner child in our family so to speak.  It was really fun!  Mom loved being surrounded by all four of her children!  The only thing that we didn’t do that we did a lot in the summer was to play outside.  We are all wimps and can no longer tolerate being outside in 110- 114 degree heat.  We also perused Mom’s WWII letters.  Jacki and I started scanning them.  We laughed, talked, played with Jules and Addison, and ate meals together. We had tea together every afternoon, getting back with our Australian roots and  had Mexican food a lot because Jacki and Diane are always craving Sonorian Mexican food when they come.

We made Strawberry Jam one day because Kelsea had never made jam and wanted to learn.  My friend Elisa came over and joined in the fum that day since she and I are Jammin Fools.

Now I get to the cute kid pictures and just general stuff to give you a feeling of how much fun we had!  I t was great seeing Alli and her baby Addison.   They actually are moving back to town at the end of this month so we will get to see more of them.  Addison is so, so cute and is at that wonderful crawling stage.  The proud Mama, Alli, spent a lot of time smiling.  Of course Jules is always cute and adorable and had to work at sharing her toys with her new cousin Addison.
