Happy Birthday Grandma Coral and Jules

My wonderful Mom turned 92 yesterday July 14 on Bastille Day.  She is a one of a kind Mom who with my Dad gave us a childhood surrounded by love, play, plants, animals (a horse, donkey, dog, cats, chickens, fish, etc).  We built tents inside, put on plays, built outside forts, sang always.  I know so many songs that just come to my mind and burst from my mouth at inopportune times.  I love to sing, so that is good.  I learned the power of positive thinking from her and the ability to turn the lemons of life into lemon aid making life sweet and joyful.
Jules is 5 years old today.  She has been the joy of my life since birth.  I laugh, dance, make up songs, sing lullaby's, read stories, create art, act out Winnie the Pooh stories, play "lets pretend".  Some quotes from her, "Lets go out to the tree house.  I'm Christopher Robin and you're Winnie the Pooh.  Do you want some honey Pooh?  Okey Dokey, here is some honey.  I think I'll live with you Pooh, at your house."  She gets a unbrella and walks around outside saying, "Tut, tut, it looks like rain.  Do you want to play in the rain, Pooh?"  While hopping with both feet in one of my crocs, "I'm a dufflepud that has only one foot .  I'm silly (hop, hop, hop).  You're a dufflepud too!  Be a dufflepud Nana!"  While taking stickers off a chair, "Sorry kid that's just the way life is.  You'll never see your stickers again!"
We celebrate Jules and Grandma's birthdays together with a girls party

Views of the kids table & other visuals of Noel and Holly's visit

Whole crew at end of family dinner

Noel, Holly, Julian and Coraline were in Phoenix April 7-17 with time in the middle for a visit to Grandma Romey in Payson.  We had a delightful time and I feel so blessed to be able to meet Coraline.  She is adorable, quiet, funny and loves her family and her Auntie Carol. Holly was surprised that she came right to me cause she tends to be shy with strangers it seems. Julian is now is preschool and has learned so much.  He has grown up a lot since he was here 2 years ago.

Holly and I got to spend a lot of time together picking up and dropping up the car from the rental company from Hell.  Even though that part was frustrating, it was a joy getting to spend time with Holly and the kids.  We bonded over trying our best to resolve the car problems.  It worked out fine in the end.  I got to teach the kids action songs while we waited.

All the kids got to ride in Grandma's garden cart.  She had wheeled it clear down to my house for the DBE Tea.  Paul, Gary and I since then fixed it up and painted it red so it will last for another generation!

We went to the Botanical Gardens and the Zoo.  Holly snapped this picture of Julian, Jules and I riding on the camel at the zoo
